The first-ever Science Journalists Forum took place on November 14, 2024, in Accra, Ghana, marking a significant moment in the evolution of science communication in the country. Organized by Science Journalism Ghana and spearheaded by its founder, Jessica Ahedor, the event attracted 36 participants, including journalists, scientists, policymakers, and tech experts.

Prof. Samuel Kyei is an Associate Professor of the Clinical Optometry, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Cape Coast and the Founding Director of the Biomedical and Clinical Research Centre, BCRC, University of Cape Coast.
Ahedor Jessica is Ghanaian based freelance science journalist and the founder of (Science Journalism Ghana) scijgh.com a news platform which focused on medicine, environment, engineering, science and technology.
Dr Nicolas Ekow Thomford is a genomicist at the school of medical sciences, University of Cape Coast. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ghana. He completed a degree in Master of Philosophy in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Ghana.
Prof. Alexander Yaw Debrah is a Professor of Parasitology and Global Health. The dean of faculty of Allied Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He holds BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and MPhil in Clinical Microbiology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
